I think the biggest blessing my parents have ever given me and my sister is the opportunity to make our educational attainment globally competitive.
So here we are,
in Australia.

It's been ONE MONTH!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
hahaha

It's been a whole month of :
+ learning how to COOK
+ either cold mornings or really hot ones because sometimes we turn the heater on too high (haha)
+ waking up late and getting to school late or JUST IN TIME (haha sabi ko sa inyo parehas parin kami ni nikko eh! hahaha)
+ waking up to the voices of australian carpenters
+ late night chats of life, love and everything in between
+ ever-changing weather
+ hating the telecom networks for not cooperating with friends who just want to keep in touch!
+ loving yahoo! messenger for all its features which we so much more appreciate now! haha :)
+ converting every price I see in shops into pesos before I buy things (haha dang gotta stop that)
+ grocery shopping on our own and carrying the grocery bags all the way home
+ exercise coming in the form of house chores! (haha)
+ public transportation
+ walking!
+ adjusting
+ writing
+ praying
+ trying to copy the famous aussie accent, yeh?
+ going with the flow and having FUN on the way :)

Nothing much happened physically,
we really haven't gone to many places and aside from getting a little "healthier" from all the 100% OZ beef,
we still pretty much look the same,
but emotionally, this month has been one heck of a ride!
I know me and Nikko have been handling things quite well though since
tears have not yet been shed
and we haven't let those sad thoughts (that inspire people to write emo songs) to get to our heads,
but one song that would be perfect to suit this situation would be

"Hate that I love you"

because really, on top of the list of the things most special to us are the people around us, and we hate that we love you coz we miss you guys even more! haha :)

But overall, we celebrate a month of blessings :)
We miss you guys a lot and thanks for all the support!
honestly, it would have been a lot harder without u guys! :)
THANKS!:)

HAPPY MONTHSARY :)

Posted in my multiply account last October 27. I just wanted to make another copy here. I'm planning to revive this blog (how many times have I said that?! hahaha :)) owel. let me try again. haha)

FINALLY WE HAVE INTERNET! :)

It's been a week and 4 days since we arrived and here are some lessons we've learned:

1. There are 4 seasons in one day. Pwede kang umalis ng bahay na super init, pero pagbalik mo malamig na. haha kaya madami daw nababaliw dito eh. connection? haha :)

2. Indians: Australia = Koreans: Philippines

3. Racism is a harsh truth. Only when you start to live in another country that you begin to realize that it really does happen, and that it can happen to you too.

4. You can buy kangaroo meat in the supermarket. haha :)

5. You get to and from places using the train, tram and bus. There is one card /pass for the trains, trams and busses. So once you've bought the pass, you can ride all 3 wiht unlimited access.

6. People walk FAST. Especially after getting off the train.parang stampede. haha..kaya di pwede pabagal-bagal. Motto: There's not time to waste.

7. You get more for your money when you buy their recharge (load) for your cellphone. Ex. if you buy load worth $29, your total load will be $130. haha sulit!:)

8. People speak in a modified english accent. American accent= not in. haha:) (seryoso ang hirap maacquire! hahaha)

9. Blue-collared jobs are high-paying jobs, so you can see carpenters in their audis. haha :)

10. Lastly, happy hours start at 3pm and end at 6pm.

How could you not miss the Philippines? hahaha:)

Sorry guys for the late update.. ngayon lang kami nagkainternet. Me and Nikko are doing fine naman. We started school last week, and we're starting to adjust na.. pero nung first morning namin dito, paggising namin, nagtinginan kami ni nikko, then she said...

"where are we again?!"

haha tapos pag nakikiinternet kami sa library, edi parang nakafocus ka sa comp. diba? parang sa pilipinas lang.. then when we stepped out, reality check na naman..

"oo nga pala noh nasa Australia tayo." hahaha :))

parang hindi parin nagsisink in samin eh.. haha. it still feels surreal. pero siguro sooner or later papasok narin. hahaha.

Well, no remarkable/ out of this world experience has happened so far, but when something does happen, we'll be sure to update you guys on everything!:)

We miss you all!! :D

Dito rin pala, you can see people of all colors. haha seriously from super white to pitch black. ( Imagine just how happy nikko is! haha ) :)

When a girl bumps into your arm while walking she wants you to hold her hand.
(not all the time? hahaha pero yeah coz girls usually aren't aggressive so hint siguro un :) and even if she hint for you to do it, it would still be sweet if u surprisingly did right? haha)

When she wants a hug she will just stand there.
(suuper true! haha :))

When a girl is quiet, millions of things are running through her mind.
( :) )

When a girl is not arguing, she is thinking deeply.
(yeah, or she could do without arguing with you.)

When a girl looks at you with eyes full of questions, she is wondering how long you will be
around.
(oooh yeah. haha :) )

When a girl answers, "I'm fine, " after a few seconds, she is not at all fine.
(GUILTY. !!! Haha! sobrang totoo to!)

When a girl stares at you, she is wondering why you are so wonderful.
(ummm. .cheesy! Hahaha di naman siguro hahaha )

When a girl says, "I miss you, " no one in this world can miss you more than that.
(oh yeah. hahaha appreciate those 3 words!:) )

When a girl is mean to you after a breakup she wants you back, but she's scared she'll get hurt and knows you're gone forever.
(i dunno. unexperienced. haha)

I got this from Ate Edith.
I actually learned a lot.. haha.. honestly I committed some of the mistakes here na.. waaah. haha :)
well, here maybe u guys can pick something up from this too :)

You might agree with it, but when it actually happens 96% of girls dont realize it 'til it is too late and that guy who did it is so frustrated that he has moved on to someone who will take notice.

From a guys point of view:

We don't care if you talk to other guys.

We don't care if you're friends with other guys.

But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off.

It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there.

We don't care if a guy calls you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned.

Nothing is that important at 2 a.m. that it can't wait till the morning.

Also, when we tell you you're pretty/beautiful/ gorgeous/cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it.

Don't tell us we're wrong.

We'll stop trying to convince you.

One the sexiest thing about a girl is confidence. Yeah, you can quote me.

Don't be mad when we hold the door open. Take Advantage of the mood im in.

let us pay for you! dont "feel bad" about it. We enjoy doing it. It's expected.

Smile and say "thank you."

Kiss us when no one's watching.

If you kiss us when you know somebody's looking, we'll be more impressed.

You don't have to get dressed up for us.

If we're going out with you in the first place, you don't have to feel the need to wear the shortest skirt you have or put on every kind of makeup you own.

We like you for who you are and not what you are.

honestly, i think a girl looks more beautiful when she's just in her pj's.
or my tshirt and boxers, not all dolled up.

Don't take everything we say seriously.

Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the beauty in it.

Don't get angry easily.

Stop using magazines/media as your bible.

Don't talk about how hot Morris Chesnutt, Brad Pitt, or Jesse McCartney is in front of us.

It's boring, and we don't care. You have girlfriends for that.

Whatever happened to the word "handsome"/"beautiful"??

Girls, I cannot stress this enough:if you aren't being treated right by a guy, dont't wait for him to change. ditch his sorry, disgrace to the male population ass and find someone who will treat you with utter respect.

Someone who will honor your morals.

Someone who will make you smile when you're at your lowest.

Someone who will care for you even when you make mistakes.

Someone who will love you, no matter how bad you make them feel, or what you do.

Someone who will stop what theyre doing just to look you in the eyes....and say
"i love you" ..and actually mean it.

Give the nice guys a chance

Guys repost this if you agree

Girls repost this if you think it's cute

Every Guy who isn't a jerk will agree with this, so we hope that all the girls that read this will repost this

Tips for the less experienced:

*Holdin Hands
Girls :If you want to hold his hand, gently bump into it a couple of times.
Guys : Grab it if it happens more than once.

*Cuddling
Girls : When you want to cuddle with him, tell him you're cold
Guys : Automatically move closer to her.

*Movies
Girls : During a movie, if he puts his arm around you, tilt your head on his shoulder
Guys : Lift her chin up and kiss her.

*Loving each other

Guys : When she tells you she loves you, look deep into her eyes, give her a peck
on the lips, and tell her you love her too... And mean it.

*Laying below the stars

Girls : When you're both laying under the stars, put your head on his chest and close your eyes as you listen to his steady heart beat
Guys : Whisper in her ear and link your hands with hers

** I love the laying below the stars thing. haha.. it's cute :)

Heey if you're reading this, and if you know I'm pertaining to you.. Sorry man.. and i'll understand if u take things back..  I really am not the best person to go through with this right now.. I warned you though.. it's gonna be hard.. but maybe u can wait forever. :)

Why do we always make things more dramatic than they should be?

I log on to yahoo! messenger and I see girls with those usual "parinig" or emo stat messages like "I wish it wasn't this complicated" or "It shouldn't really matter but it does" or other dramatic stat messages like that.. all pertaining to that one thing we all secretly dread the most... LOVE.

The boy-girl relationship.
If you ask me, this is what really what makes the world go 'round. It's inevitable. If it's not boy-girl, as much as I would hate to admit it, it could be girl-girl or boy-boy, or even more worth praising, person-God. We can't help it. We are interdependent beings. The thing is, this interdependence leads to relationships. Relationships lead to self-expression, and self-expression can start from love and happiness to bitterness and hatred.

Speaking of interdependence, I am also, with much shame, dependent on the internet- well atleast for this summer only. Therefore my daily routine of logging on to Yahoo! messenger, multiply, myspace, friendster, etc. never seems to be left undone.
Yesterday I logged on to multiply and I watched a video of my "friend" doing this activity with a girl(nothing malicious. I just dont wanna state the activity for privacy's sake.We never know who might be reading this. haha). Yeah sure he does that often. The first time I watched it, it was fine. I was like.. naaa.. it's just work. The next time I watched it, I took a closer look and tried to be sensitive with other things like eye contact, body language, etc. Dang, it looked different. So here comes my point. After watching, I was sad, pissed, and in denial. (haha) To even think that there really was nothing going on between me and that friend. I was admiring him from afar. I was in the usual condition of an average girl who can't do more than wait for someone she admires who might or might not come. In my case, this "friend" of mine did not even show signs of coming closer, and it was worse watching him from afar possibly falling into another girl's arms.
A stab. That's exactly how it felt like.
Why?

I dunno. I just feel like it. It sounds more dramatic! haha :))

Ok. here comes the alter ego. Reading the stuff above, didn't you think that it was so melo-dramatic? Probably not, because I'm guessing 75% of teenage girls write that way nowadays and if you were a teenage boy/ girl, you would be sooo used to it. You agree?
Like what I said, why do we always make things more dramatic than they should be?!?
So you've been admiring him for almost a year now, waiting for him to like you the way you do like him.
But still, after a year, he doesn't show signs of interest.
Worse, he looks happier when he's with this particular girl.
You wanna know what the right reaction to this problem should be?

SO WHAT?!?!

Honestly. So what?! When you look up, and look around, the world is still revolving and the people around you are still going about their businesses with smiles on their faces. And you, poor little you who is worrying about a lost love that ironically never did exist in the first place, can feel your mouth and cheeks down your face, your spine on a deeper curve than the usual S, and your shoulders heavier and closer to each other than they really are.

Pardon me but this teenage drama spells out S-T-U-P-I-D. Life is light and simple. Life is bright and beautiful. We unconciously put excess baggage on our backs making everyday less enjoyable than it really is.

I'm writing this to give light to the other girls out there.

Before this entry, I was also a victim of the hot boy obsession. You are a victim of this if you are addicted to the local hearthrob or addicted to any other boy who is not as addicted to you.  We tend to get our hopes up, feel the usual "kilig" and yes, while it lasts,  it does feel great. The only problem of getting too addicted is learning to control your emotions the day you have to face the fact that your awaited happy ever after with this dreamboy is never gonna happen. Look up!This is often said but it's true- there really are a lot of other fishes in the sea.

as for that one guy that let you get away... bid him goodluck and farewell. It was just too bad he was looking in the wrong direction.

Look up girl and smile! Life rocks and you shouldn't blow it away for some excess drama. :)

I was chatting with whiz until 1am ata..
*whiz: take care... also, don't get that dumb guy issue up your head! :) ;) gnyt :)
